City of Melville has partnered with Switch Your Thinking, a local government initiative that inspires sustainable action in the community, with a strong focus on reducing greenhouse emissions and making more sustainable choices.This initiative gives local residents and businesses access to information, discounts and rewards:
- Rewards for Residents - Switch Your Thinking offers City of Melville residents discounts on products that reduce waste and energy/water use, such as solar panels, batteries, worm farms, and e-bikes.
- Rewards for Business - Businesses in the City of Melville can access discounts on products that enhance sustainability, including solar panels, insulation, and energy audits.
- Switched On Business Awards - The Switched On Business Awards honour businesses that have made significant sustainability efforts. Twice a year, businesses can apply to win a framed certificate, presented by a local Councillor. Winners will be featured on the Switch Your Thinking website, Facebook, LinkedIn, and in e-newsletters.
