About ActiveLink


ActiveLink supports eligible residents of all ages and abilities to connect with their community through sport and other activities.

Unfortunately, the funding for Activelink closed on 31 August 2025, because the fund reached its capacity for this financial year.

Please do check the website in the new financial year, starting July 2026, for a new round of Activelink to open.

Applicants will receive the outcome of your application by email within 45 days of the City receiving your completed application.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for ActiveLink you will:

  • Be a City of Melville resident
  • Choose an activity held within the City of Melville
  • Be able to provide proof of low income (eg. Centrelink card) or demonstrate exceptional circumstances
  • Have read and understood the Program Guidelines

Examples of Eligible Activities

The fund assists eligible residents in becoming more involved in their community through sports and other activities. Below are some examples of the activities that you could use your ActiveLink funding for.

  • Gym, swimming and other sporting activities
  • Wellbeing programs such as yoga, pilates and meditation
  • Art programs and workshops
  • Dancing classes

Receiving Your Fund

For successful applications, vouchers are issued within 45 working days of receipt of application.

Vouchers remain valid for 3 months from the date of issue and may not be used after this date.

Other Funding Options

Kidsport

KidSport enables children aged 5 to 18 years to participate in community sport and recreation by offering eligible applicants up to $300 per calendar year toward club fees. The program is run by the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries. For more information go to the Kidsport website.
